Pretty much says it all. Everything is a Work in Progress until it is done.

Some yarn to trade.

I have some yarn to trade and thought I would put the pictures here.

I think this is Classic Elite Bravo. At least I'm 99.9% sure that it is. Someone gave it to me and it had already been knitted, so it has been frogged once that I know of. There is 103 1/2 yds of the green and 97 1/2 yds of the purple.

This is a brand from here in Little Rock. It's called Goddess Yarn. It's 100% Pima Cotton. There are 12 full skiens, all the same dye lot. 2 are wound already and are missing the ball band (I was the one who wound them and lost the bands *sigh*). 50 Grams each. Gauge is 18-19 sts = 4" US 6-7s.

I have 6 skeins of this. There are 2 dye lots but I can't see the diference when they are next to each other in the sunlight. 2 are wound already. 207 yds each. Gauge is 17 sts+24 rows =4" US 8s. The color is Blueberry.
I also have have a copy of Socks Soar on 2 Circular Needles.
I hope to trade for some good sock yarn.

A new car!

The car had broke down (sort of) and we had been dealing with that. Back in May the A/C went out and so we took it to get fixed. Car is/was only about 18 months old so everything was under warrity. Fix it, broke again. No problem take it back. Fix again. Drive from Little Rock, AR (where we are) to Houston, TX (where my family is). 8 hours. In Auguest. A/C broke again! Take it back. Replace the A/C. Couple of weeks go by. Go on another long trip somewhere. A/C BROKE AGAIN!!! Scream. Take it back. Put another NEW A/C off a car they were going to sell. A/C is working, everyone is happy. Go to Houston. FREAKIN' A/C BROKE AGAIN!!!!!! Call the car place yell at poor guy who has been bending over backwards trying to help us. Take it back AGAIN. It has now been 4 months. They keep the car for 3 months trying to fix it (they did give the a loaner during all of this). Change some stupid little switch no one has ever heard of. Get the car back. Drive to school. A/C breaks. Begin laughing uncontrolable. File a Lemon Law case. Make an appointment for final repair for Jan.4th (4 days AFTER the 10 day limit). Get a letter from the home office telling us they will settle with us for $2000 but have to let them know Jan. 3rd (day before the repair) 2006!!!! (read the dates again). Send the letter to everyone we know for a good laugh. Throw letter away. Three weeks to the DAY after the final repair attemt the A/C breaks AGIAN!!!
I got a new car today! LOL. They replaced my 2005 for a BRAND NEW 2006. Woohoo! Same payments, they are paying the taxes for us. it only has 50 miles on it! Mine turned 44000 right as we pulled into the dealer lot.

New year!

Well, it's a new year and there are a couple of knitting projects that I'm really looking forward too.

The first is Knit Picks Simple Stripes Fair Isle Socks. www.wists.com/everyone/0516f720f73a9e9f5a5dd4d41a2e7a68 I don't have a picture of my own because I just started them but here is a link to another poster. ( I still don't know how to do a good link in Blogger.)

The second is Knit Picks Colorful Waves Throw. http://www.knitpicks.com/Projects/itemid_50514222/projects_display I'm using the Mix and Mingle kit in Sea (Love the colors! Thanks Q!) I can't wait to start in it but my Dad is making me a swift and DH got me a ball winder for Val. Day so I can wind the yarn into balls.

I hope to have pictures of the socks up in a couple of days but I might not be to a good picture spot.

Hum...has it really been 2 months

Sorry it has been so long since I posted. Things have been busy. They are looking for a cook over at one of the Elem. schools so I put in for it. Don't think I'll get it but you never know. I'm working steadly on a pair of socks for my sister if she will just tell me how long her foot is I could finish the first one. I was making a sweater for William but somehow it came out to small so now it will become a pillow instead. And that is all that is going on.

Feeling better and Christmas presents

I'm finial feeling better after about 3 weeks of cramping and feeling sick to my stomach. I have an appointment on the 14th for another ultrasound and yearly stuff so we will find out then if what is going on. With my luck, they will have gotten bigger and they will have to cut me.

On the Christmas present side, I got a knitting pattern for a Hedgehog! FiberTrends Huggable hedgehog #228. Too cute! This one is for DS. He loves yellow and picked the color. It's on the list for all the kids we know right now. Which means I have 8 or 9 to knit up in the next 4 weeks. In about 4 different colors.

This is Lion Brand wool (1st time I've used it and I love how it felts!) with 2 (instead of 1 like the pattern calls for) strands of Lion Brand Fun Fur. The plate he is sitting on is an 8 inch dinner plate. Just to give you an idea of size. Nice pattern, fun to knit. It could be an one-day project if you are a fast knitter.

OMG! That HURT!

We were going to go to Texarkana(about 2 1/2 hours away) yesterday to see one of my Aunts and my Mom and Dad. Woke up about 5 in the morning with a little pain in my left side. At just kept getting worst and worst, until about 7 when we get ready to go to see family. About 7:30-8, I give up and told DH he needed to take me to the hopital (In his defense, DH had been offering to take me since he woke up). I have a high tolerance for pain so if I say I need to go ...Then I need to go!

Get to the hospital and only had to wait for 45 minutes of intense pain before they took me back. Gave me an IV and something for pain. Talked to me for a bit and they said it could be kidney stones or an ovarian cysts. So they sent me for a CT scan and then for an ultrasound. I was so out of it the whole time. And they wouldn't let me drink anything because they were afraid they might have to take me to suregy. So after being in there for about 4 hours (and DH wouldn't go get my knitting ...Bad DH! Not that I could of done any after the first pain meds but that wasn't the point! )

They told me I have an ovarian cysts. It's about 2 1/2 centimeters big but I didn't need suregy, if it was twice as big or if it gets larger I will need it. So I have some pain meds and some antibiotics. OMG! It hurt! I will gladly go thru 20 migrains that I get before going thru THAT again! If any of ya'll go thru that a lot....I'm sorry!

I have got to update more!

Well, a lot has happened since the last time I posted. Most, ok a lot, has to do with DS. He has had his feet looked at. He is pigeon toed (yeah, thanks. Didn't know that.*sigh*). Nothing we can do about it. Just keep doing feet exercises and work on strengthen those muscles.

On the plus side, it was once again time for his yearly Developmental Evaluation. When we first begin therapies, he was 18-12 months behind in all areas. Now at 5 years old, with over 2 years of therapies, he is 8-5 months behind!!!! WOOHOO!!! His Motor skills still need a lot of work (still a year behind in them) but we are working on those hard and heavy. But in Cognition (how much you understand), he is only 5 months delayed! WOW! I am feeling so good about this. That means, when he starts Kindgarden next year he will be at the same level as most of the kids in his class (Thank goodness for Fall birthdays!) WooHOO!!!!!

We have some plans on the motor skills, he is playing baseball next year and we are signing him up for golf lessons. He got a golf set for his birthday and he LOVES going to "smack the snot out of the ball". (Good going, Momma on teaching him that phrase LOL) So we found a place here in town called The First Tee (www.thefirsttee.org). They are a golf course just for kids. They have lessons and tournaments, plus lots of other stuff. Can't wait. We told him that we were going to look into it and if he would like to take lessons to learn to "smack" the ball right and he really liked the idea. So wish us luck on Saturday when he takes his first lesson (other plus is with a $35 a year membership you get free group lessons). Here is a couple of pictures of the next great golf player: Please ignore the "demon"look in the first picture. He is a wonderful kid.
